Emcor sales dropped in the second quarter, with "exceptional" performance by its construction segments not enough to offset sharp declines in its business installing and maintaining systems in refineries, petrochemical plants and other industrial sites. From its headquarters in Norwalk, Emcor oversees the work of some 75 subsidiaries that handle complex facility systems on an outsourced basis for commercial property owners, to include electrical, heating and cooling.
